Want to be a “cone-noisseur” of all things gelato? Give our gelato-making class a try! We are offering a 1.5-hour course every Thursday night starting October 17 running through late March, and also on Wednesday evenings beginning in January, which will run through late March. Both are at our Kitsilano location. Our entertaining and tasty classes are seasonally themed and are designed for “cone-noisseurs” and beginners alike, no experience needed! Only $50 per person plus GST, includes at least 10 gelato/sorbetto samples, and you take home a pint of gelato/sorbetto of your choice. Our intimate and experiential seminar is limited to just 8 people.

“We’ve taken an old fashion ice cream social to a whole new level. With our Gelato 101 classes, guests enjoy a hands-on experience of making sorbetto and gelato in our lab. You get to sample over 10 flavours that we have available and gain an understanding of its history and science, as well as see up close how microbatch gelato is made,” said Andrés Bermudez, Maestro, Uno Gelato.

A sampling of our seasonal themes this year include:

  • October - Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake gelato / Passion Fruit sorbetto

  • November - Fior di Latte with Homemade Brownie & Burnt Caramel gelato / Yuzu Lemon sorbetto

  • December – Tahitian Vanilla with Roasted Pistachio gelato / Dreamsicle (Fresh Oranges & Tahitian Vanilla) sorbetto

  • January – London Fog gelato / Midnight Chocolate sorbetto

  • February – Chocolate Scotch gelato / Blood Orange sorbetto

  • March - Chocolate Nutella gelato / Mango Tango sorbetto
