Presented by the Hotel Association of Vancouver, prizes up for grabs include luxury accommodation, fine dining, and exciting activities, with all proceeds going to help those in the hospitality industry.

People working in hospitality are some of the most high-spirited, hard-working people, and there is a deep need. The charity has witnessed a surge in applications for assistance, with 2-3 new applications received each month since January 2023. As a result, BCHF's beneficiary disbursement budget allocation for 2023 is rapidly shrinking and approaching its limit.

The Spirit of Hospitality Lottery has the goal to raise $100,000 in funds to assist the increasing number of hospitality workers in British Columbia who are seeking financial relief.

The lottery features more than $30,000 in prizes and runs until December 10, to accommodate the growing demand for assistance and to give people a chance to get their entries in as part of holiday season festivities.

To hit the fundraising goal the charity is asking people to buy tickets and then share with their friends. The BCHF needs at least 2000 people to buy 20 tickets for $50, so the hope is that this is widely shared.

The draw can be entered by everyone in BC over the age of 19. And for those who can participate in the Vancouver area, there are three Early Bird Draws:

November 20 - Early Bird 1 - The Spirit of Christmas:

- 1-night stay in a double occupancy premium harbor view guestroom at the Pinnacle Hotel with breakfast for 2 at P2B Bistro and Bar.

Alana Dickson, executive director of BCHF, says "The Spirit of Hospitality Lottery provides a unique opportunity for the public to contribute to our ongoing efforts in supporting hospitality workers who have been significantly affected by the ongoing challenges in the industry. We encourage everyone to participate in this lottery, knowing that their support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. And you just might win a fabulous prize!"
