CLASS EXPERIENCE
Music and lights set the tone while the Movement Motivator gives you an outline. Colour it in how you want. If you go left when we go right, that’s cool. Inspired primarily by hip-hop but pulling from different genres and styles, we lay a foundation of follow along movements and use repetition to build you up. You get what you give so take it at an intensity that suits you. This is a space for you to get what you need.
THE APPROACH
With each visit you become more comfortable with the moves and can hit them harder. You may find moments where you can completely let go and trust the music and your body. Every month we introduce new routines to keep you challenged while giving you the whole month to learn and feel more comfortable with the moves. Physically, you’ll improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Mentally, Freedom will help you develop new neural connections, improving hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and over time, improve memory.

Friday Freedom | This class has a new playlist each week that is unlike our monthly program. We encourage you to hang out and enjoy the themed beverage or snack that we have that week and get to know the community.

CLASS EXPERIENCE
Press pause on the world as you learn choreography. If you have a racing mind, this often forces it to come to halt. Inspired by the song, we’ll break down the moves at a pace that suits the class. All questions are welcome and we’ll review as much as needed. It’s a no-pressure and no-judgement vibe as we celebrate the unique ways each of us move.
THE APPROACH
Our beginner-friendly teaching style is welcoming to those who have never danced before. We use a star system to help you choose what experience you want out of the class. That said, brand new movers can take a 3-star class but the focus of the class will be different than in a 1-star class. And vice-versa, an experienced mover can still get a lot out of the routines in a 1-star class.
★ - Building connection to music. Learn pattern repetition, grooves, and choreography to mostly even counts.
★★ - Building personality in the routine. Learn weight transfers and more complicated patterns with an introduction to textures.
★★★ - Building dimension and musicality. The focus is on adding texture, clean pictures, and connection to music.
