Time to blow the candles! Nam Dae Moon Rice Cake Richmond is celebrating its 2nd Birthday on April 21, 2023. The beloved rice cake and mochi specialty store will hold its very first Spring Mochi Festival (#SpringMochiFest) featuring yummy mochi treats, amazing deals, and a lot of daily throughout April. The mochi event is held at both the Richmond and the Burnaby locations.
Nam Dae Moon opened its first BC shop in Richmond’s Continental Shopping Centre on April 21, 2021, and has earned a reputation for its unique hand-crafted rice flour-based pastries and sweet treats since. The shop was joined by its sister location in Burnaby 10 months later, serving the same freshly made products with quality ingredients and trendy Pan Pacific flavours.
As mochi desserts are the perfect sweet treat for spring, the Spring Mochi Festival is the ideal way to celebrate Nam Dae Moon’s 2nd Anniversary. The festival will showcase all kinds of mochi balls - the sweet and refreshing Daifuku made with fresh fruits, such as Strawberry, Mango, and Durian Mochi, and the funky ones inspired by world flavours such as the Smashed Purple Yam with Red Bean and Ferrero Roche with Salty Oreo Cream - all wrapped in soft, elastic, and slightly chewy mochi skin, made with freshly milled glutinous rice flour daily. And don’t leave out Green Mochi, stuffed with salty egg yolk, which provides an exquisite combination of savoury and sweet tastes.
