Seasonal programming features the new Night Market at the Met, a sea-themed parade, and more
Jellyfish, coral reef and seaweed décor, along with a colourful assortment of sea creatures. The installations, hosted at several mini-parks throughout the centre, culminate in an impressive main display in the Grand Court (available now until September 2).

In addition to ocean-themed props, the display features a fun and engaging sea creature that visitors can pose with. A dazzling Under the Sea parade (July 6 and 20, and August 3, 12pm-1:30pm). Parade participants –adorned in eye-popping sea creature costumes designed by Lazy Wizard – will congregate at each mini-park, providing the perfect photo opportunity for shoppers. The parade starts at Zara and ends in the Grand Court.
A special summer gift with purchase (July 12-21). Shoppers who spend $150 or more will get a free gift – perfect for the pool or beach.
The Sea Dome in the Grand Court, hosted by Ocean Wise (July 13 and 14). The six-metre inflatable dome displays 360-degree 4K footage of stunning ocean environments. Visitors can speak with expert educators about threats to the ocean and actions for protection, and explore interactive learning stations with ocean artifacts.
The brand-new Night Market at the Met (July 4-7). Inspired by hawker centres – open-air food complexes common in Asia – the free-to-enter night market will be populated by street vendors Wakwak Burgers (Japanese fusion burgers, including a deluxe teriyaki burger and Namban burger specially created for the Night Market), Aburi’s WA Bagel (Japanese fusion bagels, with a signature red bean and cream cheese bagel), Butcher’s Block BBQ (southern BBQ, with flavourful offerings like an 18-hour hickory-smoked beef brisket slider), Kam Wai Dim Sum (dim sum, including a fluffy and aromatic rose tea-infused bao with toasted black sesame filling), Bon Moment (scone sandwiches, featuring braised beef shank for the Night Market); La Meza Grill (Filipino tacos like lechon and pork sisig), and Don Oso (Mexican/Latin with quesabirria tacos). Also on offer: a free photo booth with an Under the Sea backdrop; live music, a street circus, and dancers; and daily face painting and balloon-making. Shoppers can also try the Spin and Win – for every $25 spent at the night market, visitors get to spin the wheel to win a prize. The market will be located at the centre's outdoor South Plaza on Central Boulevard, facing the Metrotown SkyTrain Station.
To enhance their Summer at the Met experience, guests can pick up a Summer Passport at Guest Services (June 19 – September 2). Simply explore, take photos and find free samples (including ice cream and drinks), collecting stamps along the way. Seven stamps earns a gift, and 10 stamps earns a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards to Metropolis at Metrotown.

Metropolis at Metrotown’s Summer at the Met is available now to September 2. Night Market at the Met takes place July 4 (5-10pm), July 5 and 6 (4-10pm), and July 7 (4-8pm). The shopping centre is open Monday to Saturday, 10am-9pm, and Sunday, 11am-7pm.
